This article discusses the conception that education, especially in Early Childhood Education, is essentially an act of relationship. Drawing on the contributions of Paulo Freire, Jussara Hoffmann, Edgar Morin, bell hooks, Célestin Freinet, the Federal Constitution of 1988, and the Child and Adolescent Statute (1990), we reflect on the importance of relationships as the foundation of learning and the integral development of children. Based on a humanizing and formative perspective, we argue that teaching in early childhood requires sensitivity, listening, and affection, understanding that educating means being with the other and learning together with them, in a continuous process of exchanges and discoveries.
