Política de Governança

EDITORIAL TEAM

The editorial team is composed of the editors-in-chief, who are responsible for the administrative management of the journal, as defined in the regulations published on this website and approved by the editorial and scientific councils.

EDITORIAL BOARD

The Editorial Board is composed of researchers, professors, education managers, and academics from different national and international institutions, with recognized representation in the scientific community. The board does not necessarily act collectively, and there is no requirement for periodic meetings with specific agendas, nor is any formal legal relationship established between board members and the legal entity responsible for publishing the journal.

Board members are responsible for providing opinions on issues related to the improvement of editorial policies, indicating reviewers, promoting the journal, thinking about strategies for action and innovation in academic and professional environments, and addressing ethical issues when requested.

The Editorial Board does not interfere in the editorial process; however, it may be convened by the Scientific Council for deliberations involving strategic and/or operational issues. It acts to maintain the scientific rigor, credibility, and reliability necessary to support the journal’s reputation.

SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL

The Scientific Council is composed of members from the scientific community, representing the areas in which this journal has influence, from Brazil and abroad. Many members of this council are also part of the Editorial Board.

Its purpose is to foster scientific rigor, reliability, and credibility in the editorial process, which consequently ensures the quality of the publications. The council must also be committed to ethics and to the criteria required for indexing in reputable databases.

Members act individually and, when necessary, collectively to reflect on editorial policies and procedures.

The Scientific Council directs the Scientific Committee and may request individual or collective contributions through meetings. Members may also request meetings to address issues related to the structure and development of the journal. The council is responsible for the journal’s technical and scientific editing and relies on a support team for routine administrative matters related to the editorial process, which is conducted electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, ensuring an impersonal and transparent process.

The Scientific Council coordinates the actions of the Scientific Committee and works in conjunction with the Editorial Board to reflect on the journal’s strategic issues.

REVIEWERS / REFEREES BOARD

The ad hoc Reviewers Board is responsible for evaluating the quality of articles in accordance with the journal’s guidelines, as agreed upon by the editors and other councils, always following ethical and transparency standards. The journal adopts scientific peer review to ensure ethical standards. We seek the agreement of all parties involved in the editorial process—editors, Editorial Board, ad hoc reviewers, and authors—regarding good practices and ethical behavior. Our reference is the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which requires reviewers to:

– Inform editors of their availability to review a manuscript;
– Decline invitations when they do not feel qualified to evaluate the topic, when authorship can be identified, or when there is a conflict of interest;
– Treat manuscripts as confidential documents, protecting intellectual property and authors’ rights, maintaining confidentiality of information, and committing not to use privileged information for personal benefit, including in their own research or publications;
– Prepare reviews based on good editorial practices regarding ethics, impartiality, and respect for human rights;
– Inform editors of any identification of violations of good practices, authors’ rights, and/or plagiarism.

Definitions:

a) “WORK” – refers to literary material of intellectual authorship by the respective authors, such as articles, reviews, TCCs, translations, images, videos, interviews, and others, whose commercialization rights (access and consultation availability) belong to the AUTHOR, including any updates or new editions of existing works.

The author declares to be the sole and exclusive holder of the economic rights of the works that make up all digital content submitted to the journal. The author also declares having all rights of commercialization, temporary access permission, and reproduction (total or partial) of the whole or parts of the works for publication purposes. The author grants the journal permission for access and/or sharing as digital content, in EPUB3, PDF, or any other technologically possible format, for access by third parties for any purpose. All WORKS (articles, reviews, TCCs, translations, images, videos, interviews, and others), in physical or digital format, are legally transferred by the authors upon submission of their works to the journal’s platform.

This AUTHORIZATION occurs when the author(s) register and submit their manuscript, thereby accepting the journal’s copyright conditions, in compliance with national and international standards for digital content dissemination.
