DESCRIPTIONS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Editor-in-Chief
Responsible for managing submissions, organizing and systematizing the selection and peer-review processes of submitted manuscripts. Acts as mediator between institutional-political management activities and scientific evaluation, based on decisions of the editorial committee and the editor-in-chief, who are directly responsible for the quality of published content. Oversees the political and institutional direction of the journal as a means of knowledge dissemination and coordinates all editorial activities, including economic sustainability and journal promotion.
Editorial Board
Composed of professionals of recognized national and international expertise in the journal’s editorial fields. Has a consultative role and may be invited to review submitted manuscripts, suggest editorial guidelines, and propose thematic issues.
Scientific Council and Reviewers
Composed of experts with recognized competence in specific thematic areas of the journal. Responsible for evaluating all manuscripts submitted for publication. Each submission is sent to two reviewers with expertise in the subject area. Minimum criteria for acceptance include: originality and alignment with the journal’s scope; adequate and valid methodology; rigorous analysis of results with conclusions supported by data; correct use of Portuguese; and compliance with ethical research and integrity standards. Reviewer anonymity is guaranteed.
